Auton myyminen - Tervetuloa PayPal-huijausten maailmaan

Kaikki hyvä loppuu aikanaan, niin myöskin roadtrippi. Vesan on aika lähteä kotiin ja meidän on aika myydä hyvin palvellut auto. Perjantaina lähdimme aamulla ajamaan kohti Brisbanea. Emme halunneet ajaa liian pitkää matkaa, emmekä jaksaneet ajaa koko päivää, joten päätimme ottaa välistopin Gympiessä. Leirintäalue oli sama kuin viimeksi, edullinen ja hyvällä paikalla.

Lauantaina nousimme myös hyvissä ajoin, ja ajoimme Brisbaneen. Vesan lento lähti vasta illalla, joten kulutimme aikaa käymällä syömässä ja litkimällä olutta. Löysimme myös leirintäalueen sopivan matkan päästä, jonne kävimme iskemässä teltan pystyyn. Kun Vesa oli heitetty kentälle toivottaen hyvää kotimatkaa, palasimme leirintäalueelle Villen kanssa.

Olimme laittaneet autosta myynti-ilmoituksen nettiin Brisbanen alueelle siksi aikaa kun olimme Fraserilla. Saarella ei kuitenkaan ollut kenttää puhelimissa, jonka takia emme pystyneet vastaamaan saapuneisiin puheluihin. Kun olimme vihdoin päässeet Brisbaneen asti, kävi niin ikävästi että autosta kiinnostunut henkilö oli jo löytänyt itselleen uuden menopelin. Koska kyseinen henkilö ei kuitenkaan vastannut puhelimeen, jouduimme odottelemaan Brisbanessa kolme päivää ennen kuin asia selvisi.

Koska emme saaneet autoa kaupaksi Brisbanessa, päätimme ajaa Villen luo Gold Coastille. Siirsimme myös auton myynti-ilmoituksen Gold Coastin palstalle. Ensimmäinen henkilö laittoi tekstiviestiä jo heti seuraavana aamuna, ja perään sähköpostin. Olimme fiiliksissä vaikka tyyppi kuulosti vähän oudolta, ainakin saisimme auton nopeasti myytyä. Vastasin sähköpostiin ja kysymyksiin, hälytyskellot alkoivat kuitenkin kohta soida. Ohessa viesti;

Vaihdettiin tämän viestin jälkeen pari muuta viestiä - tyyppi kuulosti kuitenkin vähän oudolle, joten ruvettiin Googlettamaan (=etsimään netistä) vastaavanlaisia tapauksia. Laitettiin hakusanaksi "Paypal fraud/scam". Ja mitä löytyikään - kymmenia vastaavanlaisia huijauksia, ja ihmisten kertomuksia miten he ovat menettäneet sekä rahansa että tavaransa.

Ilmeisesti jenkeissä tätä tehdään enemmänkin. Eli ostaja tarjoaa hieman pyyntihintaa isomman summan myyjälle herättääkseen mielenkiinnon. Ostaja ei ikinä pääse katsomaan ostettavaa tuotetta, vaan kertoo luottavansa myyjän sanaan. Hän siirtää luottokortilla maksun myyjälle, ja kun myyjä näkee maksun tulleen omalle PayPal-tililleen, hän luovuttaa tuotteen ostajan lähetille. Mutta, koska rahan klieraus kestää useamman päivän, ei raha todellisuudessa ole ikinä siirtynyt. Kun tavara on luovutettu, ostaja soittaa omalle luottokorttiyhtiölleen ja kertoo virheellisestä maksusta, jolloin raha palautuu ostajalle, ja myyjä jaa ilman tuotetta että rahaa.

vehicle on the ad and i am genuinely interested but i need to let you
know that i am not available at the moment, i am in Malaysia and i
will be using the vehicle for private purposes here in Malaysia. I
will be handling the pick up/delivery of the vehicle to me here in
Malaysia through a legal government approved private shipping company
that has their headquarter situated in Malaysia but be rest assured
that shipment or pickup will not take place until after i have paid
all cost of the vehicle and your funds has been confirmed cleared into
your hands . Please note that i will not be needing the rego because
it will be invalid over here so please remove the registration. I need
to know your terms/conditions regarding payment as i need the vehicle
here as soon as possible and i intend to pay right away if we can come

about the vehicle on the website and everything is okay by me. I have
actually tried to get a kind of this vehicle from here earlier but
most of the ones I got either have one huge mechanical fault or the
other and some have even had terrible accidents in the past while some
are extremely exorbitant.
As to your final price, Price is Ok so kindly confirm so that we can
be sure we are on thesame page. So if you deem the transaction good
enough, I will be very glad to make the payment right away through my
PayPal account as I am currently working offshore and I
won't definitely be able to make it to my bank to make bank wires
across to you. As to shipping and change of ownership processes, you
need not worry yourself about how the vehicle will get to me here in
Malaysia as I will contact the shipping company here who will handle
